UHBW Library for Apprentices

Your Library Space

Your Library Space

At both Bristol and Weston sites, you will have access to computers (although it is first come, first served). We also have laptops we can lend to library members, and printing/ scanning facilities are available. You can check out our opening times here.

You can borrow books outside of staffed hours by using our self-issue machines, just  make sure to have your Library card on hand.

If you have questions regarding your library membership, the library space or library resources, our friendly helpdesk staff are available to help during staffed hours. You can also use the live chat box to the left of this page during staffed hours - one of us will get back to you to help with your queries.

Your time

You are entitled to study time whilst taking part in your work placement.

The UHBW libraries are an ideal place to study, as you will have a quiet place away from the workplace to concentrate, easy access to our physical stock, freely available computers and electronic resources, as well as willing and talented staff on hand at both Bristol and Weston sites to help you with your study needs.

It is also important to take breaks where needed to sustain your physical and mental wellbeing: During one of your breaks, why not take a trip to the library look at our popular wellbeing collection?

If you are having trouble getting adequate breaks to complete your college work, or have concerns about workload from your manager or college provider, please feel free to send us a message and we can signpost you to the right service to help. Alternatively, you can contact the Education Quality team directly at EducationQuality@uhbw.nhs.uk.
