Acronym Buster | NHS Confederation
The NHS uses a variety of medical abbreviations that you may be unfamiliar with. This jargon buster can help you to make sense of NHS abbreviations and acronyms:

TLAP ("Think Local Act Personal" project) also have a jargon guide that you can access above: it is a great directory of Plain English definitions of commonly used words and phrases in health and social care.
Mobile apps
Point of care tools allow you to access overviews of conditions, drugs and much more. These tools are available as an app for your phone. Simply log in to BMJ Best Practice with your Open Athens account, create your own personal account, and download the app to your device.
